Ms. Hope Boyd, Principal
Wildwood Schools
11811 Olympic Blvd
Los Angeles, CA  90066-4900

Dear Ms. Boyd:

I am the president of Lawatchdog.com. We are an organization whose objective is exposing corruption and informing Angelenos who the bigots and racists are among us.

One of the revealing bits of evidence about who is a bigot or not, comes from  websites that spew hate.

In an undated web page I discovered on January 21, 2003, on La Voz de Aztlan, a story about a former employee at your school, Chris Simcox, described by staff writer, Miroslava Flores, says the following:

"...Hope Boyd, the Principal at Wildwood School, is an extremely professional educator and was very careful when answering questions about her former employee. She said, 'As I am sure you can understand, we are unable, without the consent of any former employee, to disclose the sort of information about work records that you have requested.' Principal Hope Boyd, however added, 'Wildwood School is built on a tradition of tolerance and commitment to diversity. We neither share nor condone the actions being touted by this militia. These views are antithetical to our school's cherished values. Additionally, I happen to be an African-American and am as deeply distressed as you and your readers are over the intolerable injustices that people of color continue to suffer at the hands of a few racist Americans. Your description of the murdered migrant workers was very painful to read but must be reported. I applaud your commitment to exposing these incidents so that none of us forgets how important it is for us to continue to work toward the goal of respect and justice for all human beings...' This letter is not to take a position on Chris Simcox, but to point out to you that you have given an interview to the staff writer of one of the most vile anti-Semitic web publications, La Voz de Aztlan.

La Voz de Aztlan, whose publisher is Hector Carreon, blames all of L.A.'s troubles on the Jews and labels any and all who do not share his views including me, as racists. He labels Hispanics who don't share his views as "Malinchistas" (Mexican slang for "traitor").

I have also included an anti-Semitic editorial by La Voz de Aztlan, "La Raza and Jews on Collision Course in Alta California."

In addition to being an egregious racist, Hector Carreon and his staff are Chicano separatists who call California "Alta California." These seditionists admire leaders like Yassar Arafat and Fidel Castro. They consider Israel's defense against terrorism as immoral, and Hamas' suicide bombings that target Israeli civilians, as noble. His editorial, Anthrax Terrorists May Be Zionists was reprinted by the "Syria Times" in October, 2001, and portrayed by the Arab world as a credible piece of news. A follow-up article was also posted: "FBI Closes in on Anthrax Terrorist -- Prime Suspect is a Zionist."

But don't take my word for it.

Two of the largest and most respected Hispanic civil rights groups, MALDEF (Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund) and LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens), have repudiated La Voz de Aztlan.

Moreover, the "hate group" watchdog, the Southern Poverty Law Center, said this about La Voz de Aztlan.:(See Attachment).

For the good of our community, I appeal to you Ms. Boyd, in the future before giving interviews to anyone that pops in your door and permitting them to post your quoted excerpts on the Internet, do a background check on him/her.

Sincerely,

Hal Netkin
